I am grateful to have the opportunity to be involved in the Grrrls connection. It is an invaluable experience that helped me grow from a teen into the young lady I am now. It offered me a place to voice , learn and get support during the difficult years of high school. I achieved great strengths in dealing with relationships and any issues that I faced. It will help me with a foundation of values and strengths that I will need to transition to college. I now have great self esteem and social skills that define me . I am now a mentor and I love guiding younger girls from my experiences. I feel every girl in high school would benefit from this group. I feel confident and excited to venture to the next chapter in my life.

As I get ready to send my second daughter to The Grrrls Connection, I am filled with gratitude for a program that has been a life saver for my family. My first daughter participated from 7th grade through her senior year, first as a participant and later as a mentor. It was a life changing experience for her. I feel so much more confident sending her off to college and out into the world with the tools she has been given by Pam and her wonderful program! With so much focus put on exceling in academics, sports, activities and getting into a good college, the Girls Connection offers a chance for our girls to nourish their spirits, that side of them that will strive for healthy relationships with themselves and others, encourage their individuality, and most importantly help them to weather the storms of disappointment and celebrate their victories in everyday life! Can’t thank you enough!

Not many people (girls especially) have an opportunity like this to be in a safe environment and connect with one another about problems and situations they encounter in every day life.

Since I participated in TGC, I am much more socially aware. I am able to help others in difficult situations, and I am also able to deal with difficult situations on my own. I am now a much more confident person and a lot of that is a result of the things that I learned in group about how I am in the world.

As a parent and clinical social worker who works with school age children, I work with many adolescent professionals and find Pam Willsey to have a unique gift in her work with teenaged girls. Pam has a exceptional and keen ability, not only to understand the social topography of contemporary adolescent girls, but also to enter that world, accepted by the girls as a friend, mentor and adult, and thereby effecting real change in their social and emotional lives. Pam has changed my daughter’s life immeasurably, providing her practical tools for negotiating mean girls and friendships, challenging her to know herself, accept her strengths and weaknesses and push herself to grow as an individual and to build healthy relationships with other girls in school and in the world at large. Pam “gets it,” in the biggest and best sense of those words. And she gives that insight back, guiding the girls with wit, warmth and professionalism. Quite simply, she changed my daughter’s life and gave her back her happiness. We can’t thank her enough.

As a therapist who needed to find peer support for an adolescent client, I highly endorse the girls group run by Pam Willsey. While individual therapy is useful and appropriate for certain needs, there is undeniably something offered in the presence of other adolescents that cannot be replicated in an individual session. Pam is compassionate, wise and very knowledgeable about the challenges facing adolescent t girls. She has been extremely easy to collaborate with, and I truly believe that the combination of our skills provided a better outcome for the client. I value her clinical opinion and recommend both her coaching and the girls group without hesitation.
