Open Letters to the Slut and Prude Shamer

Dear “Slut Shamer,”
Please stop.
Whether you are a guy or a girl, slut shaming is not okay.  Who are you to say what a woman can and cannot do with her body?  Who are you to make judgments based on what she does with her body?  Who are you to insult her character based on her own personal choices?  Who are you to think that your morals are the only morals that matter?
A woman is not defined by how much or how little she has sex.  A woman is not defined by her “number.”  A woman is not defined by YOUR words.  A woman is defined by her own definition – by her own choices – by her own values according to HERSELF.  A woman has every right to her own body and what she chooses to do with it. What she chooses to do, does not concern you.
Why are you so hard on her, yet praise “your boy” for scoring with the new girl?  Stop partaking in society’s cookie cutter image of how a girl should act.  Stop partaking in Slut Shaming.  Just because a woman hooks up with a guy on the first date, does not make her any less of a woman.  There is more to her than her body, and although she may have broken “dating etiquette.”  She is still an amazing woman who has her own desires, and her own views on how to live her life to the fullest just like you do.
If this is how she wants to live her life, don’t judge.  If this is how she wants to live her life, don’t speak.  If this is how she wants to live her life, don’t think any less of her.  She may have all the confidence in the world, yet if you insult her based on what she does with her body, you may just shatter her world.  You may just cause her to think that she is less than a woman.  You may just cause her to think that she is in fact a Slut.
The truth is she is not who you say she is.  Yet, your words CAN and WILL hurt her if you continue to Slut Shame.
Please stop.
Dear “Prude Shamer”
Please stop.
Whether you are a guy or a girl, prude shaming is not okay.  Who are you to say what a woman can and cannot do with her body?  Who are you to make judgments based on what she does with her body?  Who are you to insult her character based on her own personal choices?  Who are you to think that your morals are the only morals that matter?

Why are you so hard on her, yet praise “your boy” for scoring with the new girl who clearly was not ready for sex?  Stop partaking in society pushing girls into doing things when they are not confident enough or mature enough to do so.  Stop partaking in Prude Shaming.  Just because a woman does not hook up with a guy on the first date, does not make her any less of a woman.  There is more to her than her body.  She is still an amazing woman who has her own desires, and her own views on how to live her life to the fullest just like you do.

The truth is, she is not who you say she is.  Yet, your words CAN and WILL hurt her if you continue to Prude Shame.
Please stop.

This is a great article about living and letting live. Teaches a great lesson in being accepting of all people, whether you agree or disagree with their sexual choices.

  2. This design is spectacular! You definitely know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
